Tractor-trailer causes power outage

Power outages caused by a rollover accident involving a tractor-trailer. Princeton Police confirmed two people were hurt from the accident but were pulled away from the wreckage by first responders. More than 50 customers in the Melrose area were without power as a result of this accident.

Power outage caused by two men

Two men are accused of trying to steal wiring from a utility pole which resulted in a power outage. Deputies say that they were trying to steal wiring from a utility pole near. They put the truck in drive and began pulling on the wire it caused the pole to fall over. Which resulted in an electrical outage that affected several neighborhoods in the area.

Power Failures during heat waves

According to the new research published in the journal Environmental Science & Technology, blackouts have doubled since 2015.
Those blackouts were more to occur during the summer, suggesting they were being driven in part by high temperatures, which increase demand on the electrical grid as people turn up their air conditioners. It's believed that the probability of a heat wave and blackout event at the same time is rising as well.

Electrical vault explosion in Hollywood

An explosion believed to be caused by an electrical vault injured four people and triggered power outages in Hollywood. Two people were taken to a hospital one in serious condition and another in moderate condition, the other two people declined transport to hospitals. More than 1,000 customers were affected by an outage in the area.
